1st Camping Trip of the Year

These are pictures of the camping trip that we took to Hillsdale Lake (in Kansas) back in March on Easter weekend (Fri & Sat). It was the first time we've been camping together...and one of us is definately better at "roughing it" than the other :) There were some positives: that it was very peaceful once our neighboring campers were asleep and we could hear the wind in the tress and the bullfrogs on the lake. It put us right to sleep. In the morning when we woke up, everyone around us was already gone which made it nice and quite again. After going through the morning rounds, we walked the whole 50 feet to the edge of the lake to do some fishing. This was Allison's first time and she learned how to put bait on the hook and cast the line the correct way. Ryan spent most of his time working on getting his pole and line fixed. We didn't catch anything. Despite the cold, we had fun :)
