Tragedy Occurs Every Once in A While
Saturday night (march 14) we returned home from visiting a friends house around 11pm to find one of Ryan's trailers on fire. The one with the truck mount in it/ carpet cleaning equipment. You might be able to imagine our shock, horror and reaction. We practically forgot to put the car in park before hopping out to call 911 and grab the hose. While I was on the phone giving information to 911, Ryan was trying to put out the fire that was beginning to consume the whole trailer. By the time the fire department got to us (5 minutes later) it was blazing and the fire had already started burning the gas and chemicals that were stored in the trailer, along with all his hoses, the RX-20, and other small equipment. It was a total loss, not much if anything can be salvaged. When the gas started to burn, the fire quickly grew large and hot. It consumed and everything in it path and burnt it to a crisp, if not melted it as well. We don't know how the fire started we can only speculate. Its just another major blow to us and to our financial situation. Because the busy season was about to start for Ryan's business, he was devastated. Pretty much all we can do with whats left is sell it for scrap metal. In a matter of 30 mins all Ryan's hopes and dreams and hard work was lost in that fire.
As you can see the sides of the trailer are melted away for the most part.
The side door, the RX-20, the big reel that held the suction hose, a mop bucket, debris melted to the ground. Below is the gas tank, the engine, and some of the parts that make up the engine.
There is a small peak at the silver lining. We were very lucky that the fire did not reach the house, despite the fact of the trailer only being a few feet away from it. The house is intact and so are we. We are now striving to move on and find the blessing in our life. We thank the Lord for protect us and the house that night. Although we may not understand why it happend, we do understand that we were bless and that the Lord is watching over us during our trials.
